 For over twelve years we’ve been warning people not to eat our Great Balls of Fire.  These dangerous habanero cheese fritters were originally created for a contest to raise funds for Oregon Heat, a local non-profit agency that helps low income Oregonians with their heating bills.  We’re still serving Great Balls of Fire and the Hall of Flame grows bigger every day.

The 13th annual "Great Balls of Fire" fundraiser for Oregon Heat kicks off January 30, 2010 and proceeds from every order of Great Balls of Fire will be donated to Oregon Heat through the entire month of February.  If you don't like it quite so hot, proceeds from our delicious Deco Ginger Hot Drop cocktail and Thai Peanut Cake will also benefit the charity.

Check the events below to participate in our Great Balls of Fire eating challenges. Prizes will be awarded to those who can eat the most GBOF and also for raising the most money for Oregon Heat. Click here to download your sponsor fund-raising sheet!

Please join us all month long with these events:
  • Jan 30th, 12 noon - Kick- off eating challenge for the Toughest Tongue in the West - "Freaks in Heat" in costume welcome! $1 donated to Oregon Heat for every GBOF eaten, and winner gets $50 gift card to Salvador Molly's.
  • Feb 13/14th, Valentine's Weekend -  "Love Stinks and Burns!". Special "stinky" version of our Great Balls of Fire, loaded with garlic and blue cheese! For all of you heat-seeking lovers!
  • Feb 15th , 8:30 PM- Eating challenge at Dante's, opening for the Karaoke from Hell band - that's right - a LIVE band to sing to!  $1 donated to Oregon Heat for every GBOF eaten, and winner gets $50 gift card to Salvador Molly's.
  • Feb 28th, 12 noon - final eating challenge for King or Queen of Heat. $1 donated to Oregon Heat for every GBOF eaten, and winner gets dinner for 8 at Salvador Molly's.
