OUR Story | Salvador Molly’s started as a Hot Tamale cart at Portland Farmers Market around 13 years ago. Original chef Scott Moritz couldn’t pack enough of his hand made tamales into ice chests to keep up with the demand. The bold flavors of the traditional dish with the Molly’s twist struck a chord that is still ringing today. The cart became a 38 seat café which quickly expanded to 64, 99 and then 130 seats. The tamales were joined by an ever expanding menu of dishes from all over the world. The joy of the innovative, international food, the colorful rooms, world music and just plain casual fun has propelled the restaurant ever since. Our staff loves what they do and who they do it with. Ditto the customers that return again and again, usually bringing along new friends. |
