Vacation Proclamation! Summer 2010

Don't forget Velvis when you leave town this summer. We want your travel pictures on our wall and we've got $100 in gift card prizes to make it worth your while.
Pick up one of our Velvis pictures at the restaurant or print one out. Take Velvis when you travel, snap a picture when you get to an interesting spot, and submit it to Molly's to win:

The pictures will be judged by our staff in September. Judges decisions are final. All submissions must be entered by September 15, 2010 for travel between June 1st and September 5th, 2010. Images can be submitted by email or in person at the restaurant. All entries submitted may be posted at the restaurant, website, or social media.

Velvis-ology

Our Velvis shrine started as a joke and has grown into a worldwide phenomenon… well, sort of. 
Velvis strarted as just another velvet Elvis in a back room in Tijuana. We purchased him while conducting extensive margarita research at several bars in Tijuana. We memorialized the transaction with a disposable camera and hung that picture and several snapshots from the trip up the coast on a wall at Salvador Molly’s. 
A legend was born.
Soon, a couple of hair stylists from down the block offered to take Velvis to Las Vegas with them. Trips to Hawaii, New Orleans, and Washington DC soon followed. We have the pictures to prove it! 
In January of '08, Velvis went to Cusco and Machu Picchu in Peru, Easter Island, Samoa, Australia, Cambodia, China (where he posed with a real live Panda), Tibet, India (to see the Taj Mahal, of course), the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, and Fez Morocco. 
We are pretty sure that we have most traveled velvet Elvis in the world. 
When Velvis isn’t traveling, you’ll find him hanging out (get it?) surrounded by all his pictures at Salvador Molly’s. Stop by to see his latest adventure!
